At first glance the paintings I have created over the years are an eclectic mix. Certain themes, however, technical and thematic, weave and bind the disparate projects.

 

Technically: color, texture, and movement always lead. Movement is the skeleton, the initial gesture. Color bewitches and carries to the forgotten and familiar. Texture embodies, a reminder of the physicality behind the production.

Thematically: inner visions emerge from realism. The blunt and unpretentious are balanced by the precariously mystic.
