Utah in Season
Moving from springtime in the desert, to summer in the grasslands, autumn in the canyons, and finishing with winter on The Great Salt Lake, this 6' x 105' mural is painted on the exterior of the Bountiful Davis Art Center in Bountiful, Utah. It celebrates Utah's diverse landscapes and seasons with vivid color. Almost all of the imagery is derived from paintings done en plein air throughout the state, a nod to BDAC's annual Plein Air Competition.
Each slide is an approximately 6' x 9' section of the mural wall. Because of the difficulty of photographing a painting this large straight-on, these images are composites of multiple photos.
