Two-layer reduction woodcut block print created by hand-carving and printing plywood. Based on a dog walking neighbor of mine who never looks away from their phone. The colors were built up in a reductive manner, meaning that the block used to print the piece was carved down further between the successive layers. The earthy green color was printed first, followed by a gray purple, which layer to create a brown.
