Steps in the Dark - Reduction Linocut

8" x 10.5" image on 11" x 14" paper. Limited edition of 15. The final, dark gray layer was printed with the pressure of my fingertips, rather than a printing press, in order to make the subtle texture on each print unique. Therefore, no two prints in this edition are exactly alike. The three photos are examples of the range of variation you can expect.

I've recently been more interested in American abstractionsists such as Richard Diebenkorn, Arthur Dove, Milton Avery, and Manierre Dawson, which I think led me to the color choices I made in this print.
